Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)

Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) adds an extra layer of security to your Mockhub account.
With 2FA enabled, logging in requires both your password and a verification code from an authenticator app.

πŸ”§ How to Enable 2FA

  1. Go to the 2FA page
Navigate to Account Settings β†’ Two-Factor Authentication.

  2. Scan the QR code

    • Open an authenticator app such as Google Authenticator or Authy.
    • Scan the QR code shown on the page.
    • Alternatively, use the provided manual key if you can’t scan the QR code.
  3. Enter the verification code

    • The authenticator app will generate a 6-digit code.
    • Enter the code into the Verification Code field.
  4. Click "Enable 2FA"
Once verified, 2FA will be active on your account.

πŸ”‘ Logging In with 2FA

When you next log in:

  • Enter your email and password as usual.
  • You’ll then be asked to provide the 6-digit code from your authenticator app.
  • Access is only granted when both are correct.

🚨 Recovery Tips

  • Save your manual key in a secure place.
  • If you lose access to your authenticator app, contact support@mockhub.app to recover your account.
  • Consider using a backup device with the same authenticator app to avoid lockouts.
